Some Essential Mental Steps To Becoming An Entrepreneur

Thinking like An Entrepreneur

Your work represents your thinking and your ideas. Many times in one's life the time comes when one thinks that 'I wish I had thought of that first'. You can think of unique ideas, but what you need is a little bit of homework and training. There is a lot of difference in the thoughts of a common man and an entrepreneur. There is always a good idea behind the success of any entrepreneur.

The thinking process doesn't require any special time or place in which you must have such unique ideas, rather it is a continuous process and you need to keep thinking during the whole day while being busy with your everyday events. For some people, it takes years to hit upon some unique idea, while few never find one.

Always ask yourself a few questions in order to find the authenticity of your thoughts..
  • How can I cheaply get the product to my customers?
  • Is there a market for it?- Are you able to make profit after the costs?
  • Can it be done with today's technology?
  • What would a competitor do to beat me?
  • Can I do it?
  • Is it legal?

If are unable to find any suitable answers to these questions then leave that idea as it will not be of any help to you.
You can learn different ideas through many things. For instance, when you are watching any commercial on television, try to pay attention, keep your mind and eyes open and try to contemplate the message behind the commercial. You need not to focus as a customer, but instead try to focus on the product and the way they are presenting it.
Definitely, there are some successful ideas behind presenting things in this way; you need to interpret that to spark ideas and learn from it.

To get some unique and rare ideas, it is necessary to break your routine. If you are in the habit of doing work the same way every day, then try to change your routine. It is believed that ideas come at the strangest of times in our lives, so try to be different in your approach.
Starting new hobbies, watching new TV shows or doing anything against your routine work will definitely work for you, as you will be experiencing new things and learning new ideas from your changed routine.

Remember, copycat ideas will never give you any success. If you want to be unique in your own self then don't think of copying ideas from other entrepreneurs. However, old ideas with new reforms may work for you better.
For instance, you could start your own social network site like Facebook or Twitter, but focus it on a specific niche.

the entrepreneur mindset

Start Developing The Millionaire Mindset

For generations sports people and successful entrepreneurs have known that their mentality can have further positive outcomes on their careers, and get them into that millionaire mindset.
Napoleon Hill was one of the first to point this out in 'Think and Grow Rich'. You may remember a new spin on this by Rhonda Byrne in 'The Secret'. The lessons learned from these readings are that the way you interpret ideas and opportunities is from your mentality.

When I was young, I worked with my parents, helping them out whenever I could. They broke their backs day and night but in their eyes this was a good career path, as they earned a little bit more than if they worked a normal job.
When I started studying for my bachelor of entrepreneurship, I was presented with many scaleable "turnkey" type businesses. What appealed to me most about these ventures was that they still made money while the entrepreneurs were not there. Today, I have a more global mentality, as I am thinking about larger markets.

Let me give you an example of how my mindset has developed over the years.
Let us take the example of the idea of starting a unique fast food business in Australia. If I were to start this at 16, I would have been looking at a nice local store close to where I lived, with something unique that would provide slightly better than a wage for my life time. If at 18 I wanted to start such a business, I would have been looking to setup a store in a high traffic area and put systems in place so the business was running and making money while I was not there.
Today, with such an idea, I would be looking to build a brand which people talked about and craved. I would then look to get this profitable in the first 2-3 years and look to open more stores via franchising. I would then look to take the brand to new markets fairly quickly.
The funny thing about the processes above is that nearly the same amount of time and effort goes into each of the three. The only thing which is different is the entrepreneur at the beginning of the business' journey, with what is and is not possible.

When developing the mentality for a "millionaire mindset", there are certain steps that need to be taken. Aspiring entrepreneurs need to be respectful of taking small but frequent steps. If you take a huge leap you must remember you can go backwards just as quickly.
Typically, "serial entrepreneurs" have found a good and efficient way to build on themselves. By starting small and building a venture, then exiting and starting something bigger and repeating this process slowly builds them up to a better mindset.
My path has been a little different, as I did have a limitation of experience because of my age. However, after reading many eBooks, I was able to give myself a head-start when it came time for me to roll up my sleeves. I also gained a lot from hearing about others experiences.

To truly develop your own "millionaire mindset", just remember the only limitation is the ideas that your mind blocks. The best way to expand on your mentality is to experience, as you can best judge then what is and is not possible.
